Job Description

This position is responsible for the ongoing day to day interaction between our customers and the accurate and complete processing of tool repair and field service estimates, provide ongoing support to all areas. This position reports to the Service Manager.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Self-Starter, drive service success and improve customer service experience.

• Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of products, services, and pricing structure.

• Oversee and establish Customer Service processes and measurements to ensure customer satisfaction.

• Process Tool and Service Estimates, accurately input sales order, confirm all required dates, provide customer with order acknowledgements, communicate and coordinate shipping of customer orders.

• Pick all customer Parts Orders and tool orders, arrange Couriers, complete paper trail.

• Review Tool Repair Back log and communicate back log to Service Manager.

• Schedule and communicate field service appointments with Tech and customer.

• Process invoicing for Field Service.

• Process all sales orders to customers for Parts.

• Check tools in for repair and initiate ticket for tracking.

• Keep ticket information up to date and detailed for repair tracking.

• Enter Estimates and communicate on estimates with customer.

• Schedule all Electrical service inspections and be present with the inspector.

• Process ESA Purchase Orders.

• Identify leads, assign leads to the appropriate sales representative.

• Determine customer needs and propose appropriate product and service. As required.

• Keeps informed of new products, services, and other general information of interest to customers.

• Respond to issues regarding customer service or inquiries and determine appropriate response.

• Answers questions from customers and appropriately handle complaints in a timely manner.

• Maintains the work area in a clean orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations.

• Abides by Strapping’s policies and procedures.

• Provide back up to other internal positions as needed.

• Support Inventory control measures, cycle counting and parts order verifications.

• Always maintains a positive and professional attitude.

• Good reading, writing and excellent computer skills;

• Excellent interpersonal relations and communications skills.

• Develop and cross train to Repair all strapping tools and in shop service of packaging related equipment.

• Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.

Work Environment:


This job operates in a Service department, office setting. This role uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines, as well as the use of ladders and platform steps picking small items from heights greater than 4 ft.


Recommended Minimum Position Qualifications

• Post-Secondary Education diploma required.

• Minimum College Graduate from a Mechanical/Electrical/Automation discipline would be an asset.

• Previous experience working with QuickBooks Enterprise would be an asset.

• Bilingual French/English would be a strong asset.

• Previous customer service experience would be an asset
