Continuous Improvement Engineer Jobs

HCR Permanent Search is currently working with a top manufacturing company in Toronto who needs to hire a Continuous Improvement Engineer. To be considered, you would need a degree/diploma in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering, and 4 years of work experience where your role was dedicated solely to CI projects (to be clear, my client is not looking for Manufacturing Engineers, Process Engineers, Quality Engineers, etc), preferably in food manufacturing.

Minimum Requirements

Degree/Diploma in Industrial Engineering or Mechanical Engineer

• At least 4 years of experience as a CI Engineer while being employed with a manufacturing company, preferable, food manufacturing

• Trained in a continuous improvement methodology like Six Sigma

• Experience making improvement to production lines, processes and equipment

• Experience with takt time studies and line balancing

Responsibilities

• Work with cross functional team to improve processes in the facility

• Work with scheduling to locate areas for improvement

• Provide training on procedures for production lines.

• Identify areas of waste and make improvements to it

• Analyze data to understand down time and create solutions to address

• Fix bottlenecks in production

• Work on projects to optimize space, not just to increase production, but to increase the health and safety of employees
