Job Title: Computational Biologist/Bioinformatician

Duration: 12 Months

This contract position provides the opportunity to implement and deliver bioinformatics tools for a wide range of applications working with proteomics. The candidate will join a team focused on infrastructure developments for proteomics and collaboration with many research groups, working with both bioinformatics and bench biology teams.

Responsibilities:

• GRED Research team is looking for a computational biologist/bioinformatician that can support them with developing Neoantigen prediction/prioritization algorithms.
• Documented experience with omics data analysis and related bioinformatics tools and libraries.
• Excellent communication, advanced English reading, writing, listening and speaking skills.
• Responsible and reliable; goal and task oriented. Able to work independently to answer scientific questions using public and private data sets.
• History of scientific authorship.
• Good understanding of biological concepts and experimental methods commonly used in molecular biology and interest to learn more.
• Minimum of a Master's Degree in Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, Bioengineering or related sciences. PhD and post-doctoral experience preferred.
• Proficiency in Unix/Linux and in R/python.

Required Qualifications:

• NGS analysis (e.g. mutation calling, DNAseq/RNAseq)
• Package development in R or Python (e.g. Bioconductor)
• Single-cell analysis

Preferred Qualifications:

• Simulation/prediction pipelines (e.g. Neoantigen prediction)
• Workflow orchestration (e.g. NextFlow)
