Role And Responsibilities

The role:

• Performs all duties in complete compliance with all legal & ethical standards. Maintains security of proprietary information. Provide on-site support when needed.
• Provide input in determining product specifications by utilizing supplier feedback and industry standards.
• Support component qualifications for new revision parts, replacement parts, and/ or new component suppliers. Determine approved manufacturer list (AML). Evaluate alternate components to address productivity opportunities, and design, supply chain or quality issues.
• Provide support to ensure documentation and processes will produce acceptable and consistent materials and components to support CAE’s quality standards.
• Work with sub assembly and component suppliers to resolve technical issues throughout product life.
• Assist with component selection. Facilitate changes needed through configuration management and engineering.
• Leverage quality and failure analysis support with suppliers, and work directly with engineering and component manufacturers where needed. Issues include end of life notifications, product change notices and Non conformance request on Purchased parts.
• Work with Engineering to conduct failure investigations to develop fault tree analysis and other investigation tools to ensure execution, resolution, and close-out of all action plans.

The background we are looking for:

• Knowledge of Military specifications (MIL), American Standards ASTM, SAE.
• Industrial Instrumentation knowledge.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications; mostly Excel and Access.
• Familiar with ERP systems, preferably ORACLE.
• Excellent communication skills (written and spoken).
• Biligual (French / English)
• Knowledge of ROHS and REACH standards/requirements.
• Experience with Caps Expert, EEM, Windshield PLM.
• Technician specialist in mechanics/electro-mechanics or bachelor's degree in mechanical/electrical engineering or other related field.
