Job Description

Community Support Workers provide supportive services to adults with disabilities in their community by assisting with volunteering, job coaching, and job skills.


Responsibilities

  • Organize and participate in activities for the clients
  • Assist clients with job skills, obtaining a job placement, and maintaining that relationship with their employer.
  • Administering medications and maintain proper documentation
  • Ensure client needs are met
  • Ensure Safety standards are followed, be aware of hazards, and respond accordingly
  • Assist, support, and coach clients to advocate for themselves
  • Prepare and submit reports as required

Staff are to assist with daily living skills including:

  • Computer skills
  • Budgeting and spending
  • Personal care (as needed)


Qualifications

  • Implement existing plans and report outcomes.
  • Establish and maintain a positive relationship with team members and clients.
  • Effective Time Management skills.
  • Communicate effectively, both written and verbal.
  • Be a role model and provide supervision, training, and support.
  • Valid Class 5 Driver's License and personal vehicle
  • High School Diploma (or equivalent) is a MUST; Diploma in related field preferred.
  • Valid First Aid & CPR certificate
