Detailed Job Description Community Support Workers help individuals and families in their communities by providing assistance with daily living activities, such as shopping, meal preparation, and transportation. They also provide emotional support, advocacy, and referrals to other services. They may also provide assistance with housing, employment, and education. They may also provide crisis intervention and support for individuals with mental health issues. Job Skills Required• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Knowledge of community resources and services
• Ability to assess and respond to client needs
• Ability to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds
• Knowledge of mental health issues and crisis intervention
• Ability to maintain professional boundaries

Job Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, or a related field
• Previous experience working with individuals in a community setting
• Certification or licensure in a related field (e.g., social work, psychology)
• Knowledge of community resources and services
• Knowledge of mental health issues and crisis intervention
• Ability to maintain professional boundaries

• Previous experience providing advocacy and referrals to other services
Job Responsibilities
• Provide assistance with daily living activities, such as shopping, meal preparation, and transportation
• Provide emotional support, advocacy, and referrals to other services
• Provide assistance with housing, employment, and education
• Provide crisis intervention and support for individuals with mental health issues
• Maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality
• Monitor client progress and document services provided
• Participate in team meetings and trainings
