SURGICAL / CLINICAL ASSISTANT | South Shore (Boucherville & Brossard)

Being a Surgical Assistant means helping the surgeon in the operating room. It means anticipating their actions and preparing their work tools. It means teaming up with them and the other caregivers to support the patient from the start to the end of their experience. All this while seeing with your own eyes the happiness of a clear vision regained.

• The selected candidate must be comfortable working out of both our LASIK MD Brossard and Boucherville clinics.*

Your tasks at a glance

• You reassure patients before and after their procedure and ensure they feel at ease showing empathy.
• You will become a specialist of the tools and technologies used during intraocular procedures.
• You are comfortable working on your feet in the operating room.
• You are the person who works closely with the ophthalmologist; you anticipate their actions while following protocols.
• You like working in a team and know by heart the actions to take to coordinate each intervention.
• You are a stickler for details and work with precision and accuracy.

A clear view of your assets

• Your experience in the health care field is considered an asset (ex: optometry assistant, orderly, nurse, dental assistant, pharmacy lab technician, sterilization assistant, animal health technician assistant, etc.).
• You have the ability to relate to others and quickly establish a climate of trust.
• You have a facility with computer tools and technology.
• You are motivated to learn and grow within the company.
• You have excellent communication skills, you speak English et français aussi. (Required)
• You can travel to other clinics for training (LASIK MD Brossard, LASIK MD Montreal or other clinics within the province of Quebec) – expenses covered by Vision Group. (Required)
• You have a definite interest in the field of health and high-tech devices.
