We are looking for a Civil/Municipal Engineer with an understanding of the various municipal civil engineering disciplines to join our growing, friendly, and relaxed workplace. The successful candidate will be joining a team-oriented atmosphere that is respectful of work-life balance. You will need a strong understanding of the municipal civil engineering environment and provide leadership at both the design and project management levels on municipal infrastructure projects including drainage, water mains, sewers, roads, and site development. Your experience and understanding of municipal civil engineering will be an asset in providing new services to existing clients and developing business opportunities with new clients. You will help in the advancement of projects through the concept, design, and construction phases. We are a strong advocate of working together to undertake projects and solve problems.
Requirements:
- An innovative and analytical approach to providing solutions, and a desire to work collaboratively as part of a highly skilled team
- A University Degree in Civil Engineering (from a recognized University engineering program) or equivalent degree program and practical experience in the Civil field,
- A good problem-solving capability, able to identify alternative solutions
- Minimum of 4 years of engineering work experience in Canada
- Valid Ontario drivers licence
- An understanding and commitment to CAD standards and procedures
- An understanding of municipal civil infrastructure construction methods
- Practical knowledge and efficient use of the following software: AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Knowledge of Hydrological modeling and other design-based software is an asset
- Strong organizational skills and be detail-oriented
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects and tasks to meet tight deadlines and work under pressure
Position and salary will be based on education level and work experience
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: $40.00-$60.00 per hour
