Overview Municipal Engineers are responsible for the planning, design, construction, and maintenance of public works projects such as roads, bridges, water systems, sewer systems, and other public infrastructure. They work with local governments, private developers, and other stakeholders to ensure that projects are completed in a timely and cost-effective manner. Detailed Job Description Municipal Engineers are responsible for the planning, design, construction, and maintenance of public works projects. They work with local governments, private developers, and other stakeholders to ensure that projects are completed in a timely and cost-effective manner. They must be knowledgeable of local, state, and federal regulations, and must be able to interpret and apply them to their projects. Municipal Engineers must be familiar with the latest engineering technologies and techniques, and must be able to develop innovative solutions to complex engineering problems. They must also be able to communicate effectively with other stakeholders, and must be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Job Skills Required• Knowledge of engineering principles and practices

• Ability to interpret and apply regulations to projects
• Knowledge of the latest engineering technologies and techniques
• Ability to develop innovative solutions to complex engineering problems

Job Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• Professional Engineer (PE) license
• 5+ years of experience in engineering and/or public works projects
• Knowledge of AutoCAD, GIS, and other engineering software
Job Knowledge
• Knowledge of engineering principles and practices
• Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations
• Knowledge of the latest engineering technologies and techniques
• Knowledge of AutoCAD, GIS, and other engineering software
Job Experience
• 5+ years of experience in engineering and/or public works projects
• Experience in project management
• Experience in working with local governments, private developers, and other stakeholders
