Our client is an award-winning construction company, specializing in underground servicing, mass earthworks, road works, concrete works, storm water management and snow removal.

They are looking for a Senior Estimator to join their growing team! This is a full-time, permanent position located in Toronto, Ontario.

Responsibilities

• Read in full contract documents and present risks or advantages that can be accounted for to the operations team prior to tender closing.
• Applying knowledge of specialized methodologies, techniques, principles, or processes to specific project requirements to formulate estimate.
• Analyzes blueprints/drawings, specifications, proposals, contracts and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates for projects.
• Reviews data to determine material and labor requirements and prepares itemized lists for project estimates.
• Consults with engineers, vendors, or other individuals to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues for estimate submissions.
• Computes cost factors and prepares estimates used for management purposes, such as planning, organizing, and scheduling work, preparing bids, selecting vendors or subcontractors, and determining cost effectiveness for projects.
• Conducts special studies to develop and establish standard hour and related cost data or effect cost reductions.

Qualifications

• Experience estimating projects or relevant engineering experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Construction Management or related field of study
