Change Management Specialist
The incumbent is responsible for serving as strategy specialist to leaders, assuming day-to-day responsibility for project coordination of corporate initiatives, creating and maintaining cross-departmental relationships, development of training materials, tracking and reporting status with standardized clear and accountable communications for project implementation and ongoing success. Provides input on strategic initiatives with regular status reports to the senior leadership team.Completes research and assists with cross-divisional project integration, assists with the development of documentation, training materials and communication plans. Participates in special projects, as required.The incumbent works on strategic initiatives requiring executive approval and is responsible to take this information and communicate policy, process and implementation strategy to employees in a standardized corporate communications format.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
•Develops and delivers the change management and communication plan for large, cross-functional projects or initiatives e.g. working with SAP SMEs to ensure ongoing communications and targeted communications for specific elements being rolled out
•Helps drive the strategic initiatives identified in the strategic business framework (SBF), redirects focus to the full organization’s benefit (opposed to single lens view) and identifies metrics for success
•Revisiting the SBF regularly and evaluating progress with presentation to the senior leadership team
•Ensures that the correct stakeholders are brought together at the rights times to help drive timely decisions and at times acting as a gatekeeper, ensuring a CEO’s involvement in a project or decision-making at the right moment
•Assisting the senior leader in researching, benchmarking, analyzing data, and making recommendations on assigned strategic initiatives
•Acting at the project coordinator to assist each senior leader on programs and initiatives outlined on the Strategic Business Framework
•Working with the senior leader, clearly defines the criteria to measure and evaluate project objectives. Develops and implements controls and reports on budget and project deliverables.
•Provides advice on change management issues, particularly as they relate to communications and training
•Ensures the development of a change management strategy is embedded in the project planning for each initiative
•Co-ordinates production of related manuals, instructions, and training materials related to each project phase roll out
•Creating systems and processes to streamline operations
•Ensures effective integration and co-ordination of programs using a companywide lens
QUALIFICATIONS
•2-4 years of relevant work experience in the areas of Communications and/or Change Management
•1 to 3 years of experience in a project coordination
•Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and integrate various tasks across multiple teams
•Skilled at motivating others
•“Likeable” and ability to work with a variety of personality types both in an office and a field setting
•Adept at project coordination and execution
•Innovative with a strong business acumen
•Skilled at teamwork and relationship management
•Skill and experience to integrate themselves into an organization quickly
•Ability to assess issues that serve as barriers to a team or organization operating at maximum effectiveness
•Demonstrated ability to take on day-to-day tasks (acting in the weeds)
•Demonstrated skills with MS Office suite required including Excel and PowerPoint
•Certified Six Sigma or LEAN process improvement considered an asset
•PMP considered an asset
•Experience with several software platforms such as SAP , SuccessFactors, Tread, SharePoint, VisionLink is an asset
•Experienced with change management process with large-scale IT transformation is an asset
•Experience working in construction or waste management for medium to large company is an asset
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The role is primarily an office role.Site visits will be required.Ability to traverse a working construction site is required.Ability to drive for long periods of time on occasion (e.g. drive from Ottawa to Sault Ste. Marie).
