Job Description

THIS IS AN ONSITE ROLE.HYBRID IS NOT ALLOWED.

Title: Business Analyst



Our client in Regina, SK is looking for a Business Analyst for a 6 month contract to start (with the option of a 1yr extension). This position will be required to be onsite. Additionally, candidates must provide proof of vaccination. Travel to/from Regina and Saskatoon is required and can be expensed

Things You Need to Have:

  • Understanding of technical designs and specifications of and principles of systems and software applications.
  • Initiative and independent judgement required to solve complex problems.
  • Ability to comprehend complex business issues.
  • Knowledge of associated policies, guidelines in order to ensure changes are in compliance with requirements.
  • Professional designations such as CBAP will be considered an asset
  • Human relations skills required when meeting with vendors and staff regarding compliance and acceptance issues, such as promoting standards to enhance interoperability between stakeholders or meet certification requirements.
  • Human relations skills required to ensure compliance and promote acceptance through negotiating with staff and suppliers where there is a requirement to resolve the conflict or situation.
  • Experience working in a highly integrated environment
  • Knowledge of industry best practises and maintains currency with technology trends and internal program and system changes.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in various stages of completion according to priorities.
  • 7-10 years of experience working as an IT Business Analyst
  • Communication skills are required to develop and present complex information including written documentation and verbal presentations to audiences with varying levels of comprehension ability.
  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in computer science, business administration, engineering or health care
  • Knowledge of current security applications and procedures, and remote access services.
  • Understanding of business analysis methods, process documentation, and enterprise/business requirements development.
  • Healthcare informatics experience preferred

What you will be doing:

Our client is currently looking for a Business Analyst resource work under the direction of the Project Manager and working with other members of different divisions and the program lead to complete detailed business requirements for an IT system to support the program.

· Work with project team and project manager to confirm scope, requirements, stakeholder identification, task identification, resource requirements, schedule development and quality parameters

· Work with business team members, project manager, and technical team members, to identify requirements, determine gaps, and develop gap resolutions.

· Provide business analysis to understand and document data and information requirements, document current and develop future state workflows, assists in standardizing workflow processes across the organization

· Develop testing scenarios and detailed test plans

· Assist in identification of reporting requirements, report development and testing

· Monitors and reports progress to project manager

· Travel to/from Regina and Saskatoon may be required.

Deliverables:

· Documenting the information flow for a pilot program and obtaining approval from all stakeholders

· Development of detailed business requirements for the Program

· Participate in the software development effort to modify/enhance the IT system that supports the three existing programs and the unique functions needed for the program
