Business Analyst - Data Governance/ Data Management

Working with one of the top financial clients this role calls for a Business Analyst - Data Governance/ Data Management who will be responsible for checking DIA & PIA while ensuring all requirements for data owners are outlined in Confluence, with processes, procedures, and pain points of the business accurately documented. The successful candidate is also expected to strategize resolutions to issues that are identified and create process flows. The ideal candidate will have a solid experience as a Business Analyst and should be comfortable with ambiguity and demonstrate an enthusiastic willingness to learn.

Responsibilities:

• Own and complete relevant work packages through collaboration with multiple stakeholders to prepare for operational readiness, manage deadlines and adjust to changing work priorities
• Develop efficient and effective solutions through analytical problem-solving
• Provide leadership / guidance and support in defining the business need or problem statement based on strategic drivers and identifying potential solutions
• Support implementation / post-implementation activities as defined in the project plan
• Identify, document, and validate current state processes and work with the business and stakeholders to design the desired
• Assess project change requests and their impacts on requirements, checking for alignment to project benefits at all phase
• Collaborate with technology partners and provide recommendations to support the development of system requirements and design, testing plans, artifacts/deliverables to ensure business needs are met
• Facilitate and follow a structured approach to plan, elicit, analyze, document, communicate, and manage business requirements with stakeholders by applying a variety of elicitation techniques to probe, challenge and understand requirements according to the requirements management discipline
• Adhere to Enterprise project governance controls to ensure projects meet all performance, quality and compliance standards and conform to appropriate disciplines
• Take ownership and communicate progress on work packages, including requirements management, in a concise and timely manner, escalating issues to the project manager, partners and manager where appropriate
• Proactively identify and track requirements risks, issues, assumptions, dependencies, and constraints and anticipate and effectively manage risks related to requirements.

Desired Skill Set:

• 8-10 years of proven experience as a Business Analyst in any industry
• Basic knowledge of computer software, such as Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
• 3-5 years of strong experience with Confluence
• Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related a field such as business/commerce
• Excellent verbal and written communication, problem-solving skills, attention to detail and interpersonal skills
• 3-5 years of proficiency in Microsoft Visio

Nice To Have:

• Experience resolving issues with regard to Data Quality, Data Impact Assessment, Privacy Impact Assessment
• 3-5 years of hands-on experience with Jira
• Experience or background in Data Governance & Management
