Building Services Engineer (Mechanical Systems, North America)

The job of our Building Services Engineer with focus area of Mechanical Systems is a crucial part of our product offering; delivering the most advanced work environments for our clients. We are looking for a Building Services Engineering who is skilled and experienced particularly in the area of mechanical systems. You will have a diverse background and be ready to take an important part in internal and external project teams in all MEP Engineering related services through the entire project life-cycle. You will take special consideration, guiding our design-build teams through design intent to preserve the design quality of a project, mitigating potential later issues during construction. As our Building Services Engineer, you will be responsible for day-to-day management of the engineering related project elements and will be responsible to participate and/or manage several projects at different stages at the same time.

Primary Responsibilities

● Lead internal and external project teams in mechanical, plumbing and fire protection related building services from site selection through to post-occupancy phase, to ensure these services are fully integrated and provide the highest quality engineered spaces in the market.

● Project focus on carbon neutral design and low EUI system design.

● Managing the day-to-day the engineering related mechanical, plumbing and fire protection project elements

● Simultaneously manage multiple projects in different stages

● Provide site analysis of building systems and provide clear direction on required modifications to these systems to achieve client driven standards.

● Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders

● Guiding both design and build teams through design intent to preserve the design quality of a project

● Collaborating cross-departmentally

● Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques

● Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation

Job Requirements

● 5 + years of work experience specializing in various Engineering services within the building design and construction field

● Experienced in various Mechanical, Plumbing, and fire protection disciplines

● University Degree in Building Services Engineering or related field (Mechanical).

● Experience leading a team

● Experience inspecting and supervising various mechanical, plumbing and fire protection disciplines during construction and providing solutions to overcome site challenges
