Senior Software Developer 5G RAN

Location: Hypid (Ottawa Preferred)

Format: Contract

Term: 12 Months + Extension

Responsibilities

• As a Senior Developer you may have additional team leadership responsibilities
• Work with other team members and software architects to determine the high level and detailed designs of the CU components
• Work closely with the other development teams to ensure completeness, quality, and performance of the CU functionality
• Identify, develop, execute, monitor, and maintain automated tests in Python, Robot and JSON and responsible for the continuous integration (CI) and continuous delivery (CD) of the CU components
• Work in a LEAN Agile environment, implement features in C++, fix defects in a timely manner

Must Have

• An excellent attitude and desire to work in a collaborative team environment where everybody in the scrum team owns the deliverables and quality
• Agile Development Expertice, Proficient with CI/CD, CI/CD Pipelines
• 10+ years’ experience working on carrier grade telecommunications products (Wireless, Mobility, Radion (RAN), 5G, 4G, LTE etc..)
• Comfortable working in a very dynamic environment
• Embedded C++ proficiency
• Maintain automated tests in Python/Robot/JSON

Nice to Have:

• Experience working in a start-up type environment in wireless technologies, 4G, 5G with knowledge of 3GPP, ORAN protocols, RRC, SDAP, PDCP and particularly CU
• Experience with Wireshark, gdb, and the Atlassian toolset
