The recruitment team at Myticas Consulting is looking for an experienced UX/UI Designer for a hybrid/remote contract opportunity offered within the Toronto, ON region.

Must haves:

• Proficient in UX design for web applications, preferably enterprise portals and websites, mobile, and responsive experiences (8 years+)
• Hands-On experience using Figma to design web application features and assets.
• Must have strong facilitation skills and experience leading client workshops remotely
• Provide UX/UI leadership and defining best practices and methodologies: user-centered design, design thinking, and design sprints.
• Work within a fast-paced and Agile environment
• Proven UI design skills and experience

Deliverables include, but are not limited to:

1. Using Figma, design mockups and assets for a custom Web Application (Enterprise BI Platform).
2. Supporting product management and delivery with mockups, and design solutions.
3. Leading and facilitating product discovery and design sessions.
4. Establish a Design System and framework

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with front-end developers other product team members to successfully build, test and deploy cutting-edge user interfaces and UI components
• Establish product specific UI/UX vision and standards while adhering to panding and accessibility guidelines
• Perform other duties as assigned by management
• Lead design review sessions with internal stakeholders, reaching consensus and getting approvals on designs
• Ideate and conceptualize innovative UI solutions to solve complex end-user challenges.
• Work with product management and lines of business to gather and analyze customer requirements and translate them into engaging and effective UI experiences
• Lead customer experience and usability studies
• Produce, personas and customer journey maps, wireframes and prototypes

Desired Skills:

• Understanding of current and emerging technologies, design patterns, industry trends and standards, device and powser capabilities
• 10+ years of experience designing web enabled digital solutions
• Experience in Agile, Scrum, user stories, user flows, low and high-fidelity designs and prototyping.
• A degree in design or a design-related discipline (user-centred design, visual design, human factors, human-computer interaction, etc.) or equivalent experience
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to clearly and effectively communicate design processes, ideas and solutions to team members
• An impressive portfolio of recent work demonstrating UI/UX expertise in designing web and mobile applications
• Experience with UI design.
• Demonstrated knowledge of panding, layout, color theory, typography and photography
• Expert knowledge of information architecture and interaction design, user-centered design process, and user experience principles and techniques
• Experience in usability testing and accessibility compliance (Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA))
• Proficiency with design tools such as Adobe XD, Figma, Axure - 3 years
• Experience with UX design for Web Portals (5 years+)
• Comfortable working within tight timeframes and with working creatively within specific constraints.
