Avionics Technician Jobs

AAA Canada is a manufacturing company that has been providing subcontracting and technical assistance to industrialization, production and maintenance processes for about 15 years!
We operate in the Aerospace, Ground Transportation and Energy sectors.
A typical day?

• Assist with mechanical / electrical removals and installation.
• Record work on company build sheets or applicable forms.
• Participate in 5-S activities.
• Tagging of removed parts as serviceable or unserviceable.
• Able to read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, maintenance manuals, etc.
• Possesses and uses good judgement in conjunction with technical skills to make decisions regarding the order of work performed, techniques, and troubleshooting.
• Ensures that all installations are done according to SOP’s and in line with Canadian Aviation Regulations and/or FAA Regulations, as applicable.
• Perform regular cleaning and maintenance of machines and tools.
• Installing, testing, and verifying operations of avionics systems and equipment with the purpose of successfully diagnosing failures on various airframes and types using hand tools, test equipment and technical documents.
• Maintenance & installation of avionics and electrical systems in accordance with applicable installation drawings and/or manufacturer’s maintenance and installation manuals.
• Line maintenance troubleshooting and ensuring operational performance standards are met.
• Resolves discrepancies in an efficient manner and works to maximize quality and meet deadlines.

Qualifications

• You have GROL (General Radiotelephone Operator License) or AET (Aircraft Electronics Technician) Certificate (preferred)
• You need to pass a theoretical exam and them 3 weeks of training.
• You have an Understanding of Canadian Aviation Regulations and FAA Regulations.
• You are TCAA Approved Avionics or Accredited Avionics course.
• You have Hands-on electrical experience.
• You have experience on corporate jets (preferred)
• You have received training from an avionics/electrical Aircraft Technical School or other substantiated equivalent.
• You have an A Certification, P Certification, or both (preferred)
• You are able to work unscheduled overtime including non-scheduled workdays and holiday.
• Bilingualism (French-English), both spoken and written, is an important asset for effective communication in the multilingual environment of the customer's site and technical documentation.
• You have a minimum of 3 years of avionics work experience.
• You have the ability to read and understand electrical engineering drawing.
• You have an understanding of all technical documents such as technical bulletins, alert service bulletins, etc.
• You have an AME-E? would be considered an asset.
• You have basic PC skills.
• You are able to work in seasonal/inclement weather outside.
