Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Desktop Support Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have comprehensive knowledge and expertise in providing technical support for desktop systems, with a strong focus on AV support, particularly in Microsoft Teams Rooms and the Microsoft Teams Rooms Pro Management Portal. This is a critical role responsible for ensuring optimal performance and functionality of our AV systems, facilitating smooth communication and collaboration.


Your New Job


  • Manage and prioritize multiple tasks effectively, ensuring timely resolution of technical issues and minimal disruption to operations.
  • Install, configure, and maintain Microsoft Teams Rooms and Microsoft Teams Rooms Pro Management Portal across various locations, ensuring system connectivity and stability.
  • Collaborate with the IT team to maintain accurate inventory of AV equipment, software licenses, and maintenance contracts.
  • Stay informed about the latest advancements and trends in AV technologies, particularly related to Microsoft Teams Rooms and the Microsoft Teams Rooms Pro Management Portal, and provide recommendations for system improvements and enhancements.
  • Collaborate with third-party vendors for equipment procurement, maintenance, and repairs, ensuring adherence to service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot AV equipment, ensuring efficient functioning, including audio/video conferencing systems, microphones, speakers, projectors, and smart boards.
  • Assist in the setup and configuration of AV systems for meetings, conferences, and special events, including equipment testing, cable management, and connectivity.
  • Provide end-user training and support on AV equipment and systems usage, troubleshooting steps, and best practices.
  • Adhere to IT department policies, procedures, and standards, ensuring compliance with security protocols and data protection regulations.
  • Provide technical support for desktop systems, troubleshooting and resolving hardware and software issues, including but not limited to Microsoft Teams Rooms and Microsoft Teams Rooms Pro Management Portal.
  • Develop and maintain documentation, manuals, and knowledge base articles relating to AV systems, troubleshooting steps, and best practices to aid in issue resolution.
  • Assist in the implementation and execution of AV-related projects and initiatives, working closely with cross-functional teams and IT management.


What You'll Need to Succeed


  • Proficiency in diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues related to AV systems, including audio/video conferencing equipment and peripherals.
  • Solid understanding of networking fundamentals, IP-based audio, and video conferencing protocols.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and resolve technical issues efficiently.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with end-users, third-party vendors, and cross-functional teams.
  • Strong technical knowledge and expertise in Microsoft Teams Rooms and Microsoft Teams Rooms Pro Management Portal configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • Certifications in AV support, Microsoft Teams Rooms, or related technologies are a plus.
