We are actively seeking a Technician – Positioning to perform seabed soundings, analyze bathymetric surveys and produce reports for ongoing projects using specialized equipment and software.

YOUR TALENTS WILL BE USED TO MEET THE FOLLOWING CHALLENGES:
  • Monitor each stage of the project and take corrective action;
  • Manage dredger’s positioning;
  • Participate and support the activities of the Health, Safety and Environment Management System.
  • Evaluate problems encountered in each project in order to find solutions;
  • Measure dredged quantities;
  • Conduct data research;
  • Analyze and interpret data collected in relation to dredging plans;
  • Participate in bathymetric surveys and data processing;
  • Evaluate environmental and geographical conditions related to projects;
  • Provide technical support for equipment installation, maintenance and operation;
Our Ideal Colleague Has
  • Knowledge of computer-assisted drafting software;
  • Availability to travel, sometimes outside Canada, for several days at a time, depending on the project;
  • Knowledge of hydrographic processing software (an asset);
  • Professional experience in the maritime field (an asset);
  • Languages: advanced level in oral and written French and English.
  • College degree (DEC) in geomatics, earth sciences or related field;
