The ideal candidate will be responsible for all project direction, planning, completion, and financial outcome. In order to succeed in this position, the candidate must be organized and have excellent time management skills.
• Comprehend and interpret construction drawings
• Familiarize yourself with project agreements and contractual requirements and advise project and leaderships teams with regards to the organizations risks and responsibilities
• Support Project Manager with changes, variations, and commercial matters
• Identify trends through in-depth analysis of historical and current findings and create, maintain, and advise project and and leaderships teams on best practices
• Liaise with external counsel and consultants to collect required information and put forward recommendations
Responsibilities
- Prepare project schedule and manage deadlines
- Manage all project documentation
- Effectively communicate project progress to key stakeholders
- Assist with estimation and bidding process
Responsible for assisting the Project Managers in the construction operation such as but not limited to:
• After the award of the job, review the scope of work as per lead letter, bid form, take offs, worksheets, specifications and drawings. and make an overall material summary sheet for the full scope of work. Including but not limited to: Hard material (Tile, Carpet, Vinyl, Terrazzo, Marble, Granite, etc..)
• Request physical samples and prepare them with a transmittal to be sent.
• Prepare datasheets for all materials to be used as per specifications. and make a package for each spec section included in the work scope. send to the GC
• Continuous follow up on weekly basis on all submitted items
• Prepare LEED documents for all materials and send to GC for review
• After physical samples, datasheets and LEED documents are approved. Request an updated pricing from the supplier and try to improve it. Issue a purchase order for all approved items and make sure it works with the schedule.
• Review the overall project schedule and remake to only include our scope of work
• Monitor and record manpower assignment and allocation required for the respective job sites.
• Prepare Project Start-up Documents (Including start up forms and safety documents)
• Request supplier quotations, place order and plan & manage material deliveries for the respective job sites.
• Prepare and submit invoices for all projects.
- • Review, Prepare and Price Change Orders.
Qualifications
- 1 - 2 years' of relevant experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Strong organizational skills
