JHE & Partners are pleased to be working with a well-established and respected client based in Halifax, as they look to recruit an Assistant Accountant offering a competitive salary with the opportunity to grow within their finance team within a couple of years - the career progression opportunity is superb!

My client, a leader in their field, are looking to recruit an Assistant Accountant. The ideal candidate will ideally have 1+ years working in an Accounts Assistant position or similar and will be used to working in a fast-paced working environment. It is important that you have good attention to deal, and ideally month end experience. You will be reporting into a superb Finance Director who will provide training and full mentorship throughout the position. You will also be working closely with the Credit Controller and another Assistant Accountant.

Responsibilities And Requirements

• Assist in the production of management accounts from trial balance
• Produce Balance sheet reconciled regularly to include GRN/stock and expense accounts
• Full understanding of Aged Creditors
• Cash Flow
• Fixed Asset Register
• Agents Commissions and Reps Bonuses
• Month End procedures
• Full understanding of Aged Debtors
• VAT - both UK and Ireland
