Belt Conveyor Guarding is a family owned and operated organization specializing in the manufacturing of premium equipment safety guarding. For 30 years, BCG has helped companies all over North America to keep their workers safe by providing compliant, ergonomic, and user-friendly guarding. The Assembly Clerk at BCG will help us assemble our products and package them for quick delivery to our clients across North America.

Duties include:

• Follow all health and safety policies and ensure that all tools used are used in a safety conscious manner
• Work with power tools i.e., impact gun, staple gun, table saw, drill press
• Build packages that will be used in assembly
• Review and interpret guard drawings
• Review Pack lists and drawings
• Determine how many boxes/skids are needed for orders
• Print appropriate labels
• Sweeping, Organizing, General housekeeping in the shop
• Transfer data to excel and bartender
• Collect guard parts and hardware required for assembly, assemble guards, and package orders to be shipped.
• In some cases, utilize the Raymond Reach truck to store and retrieve parts from racking/mezzanine

Skills required include:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Ability to work well with a team.
• Great communication skills
• Ability to read blueprint drawings
• Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines
• Strong organizational skills

Physical and mental effort necessary:

• Long periods of standing
• Attention to detail/ high levels of concentration
• Frequently switching between several tasks at once
• Frequent use of tools and equipment
• Frequent repetitive motion
• Bending, lifting, pushing/pulling
