We are currently seeking a Drafting Technician to join our team. You will work with our design + engineering team to produce detailed shop drawings for high–end residential projects.

If you are a wiz with AutoCAD and have experience detailing cabinetry and architectural millwork for high-end residential projects, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities:

• Review and analyze shop drawings for accuracy and potential issues
• Work closely with project management and production teams to ensure timely completion of projects and accuracy of drawings
• Collaborate engineers and designers to ensure compliance with project specifications
• Interpret architectural plans and translate them into detailed shop drawings
• Create accurate and detailed 2D shop drawings based on architectural drawings

Required Competencies:

• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with project management, production teams, and external stakeholders
• Ability to read and interpret architectural plans and specifications
• Attention to detail and ability to produce accurate and detailed drawings
• Understanding of millwork materials, hardware, and construction techniques
• Very high level of proficiency with AutoCAD (a practical test will be part of the hiring process)

Minimum Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience in architectural millwork drafting
• Understanding of millwork materials and construction techniques
• Understanding of commonly used casegood and door hardware
• Experience with Autodesk Inventor, Microvellum, or 3D modeling in general a bonus
