About Our Client
This is a great opportunity for an Architect looking for their next career transition to be a part of a small and close knit company on beautiful Vancouver Island. Looking for a more laid back lifestyle? This firm offers a 4 day work, slightly shorter work week, bringing a better work life balance to you!
The firm focuses mainly on residential, commercial, healthcare, and public sector work, both woodframe and concrete steel construction. They have a collaborative culture and a well established clientele across the island and BC.
About The Role
The Architect will be involved in all phases of projects, from design development, client management, contract administration, development permits, overseeing production, through to project closeout. The right candidate must have experience working with both small and large projects and capable of mentoring one or two junior staff.
This candidate will have the following aspects;
  • Master’s Degree in Architecture, AAA Designated (Registered or eligible to become registered in Canada/British Columbia)
  • Detailed approach to project management with an entrepreneurial mindset in developing a team and leading projects forward through to completion
  • Minimum 8 years' industry experience
  • Proven track record with projects in the commercial, institutional, multi-family and retail sectors
  • Passion for design and architecture with a strong leadership approach
  • Excellent experience working as an Architect in Canada
  • Experience working with technical programs like Revit is essential
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
