Intern Architect Jobs

Atmospheric Perspective Architecture is a dynamic, boutique studio that combines expansive design thinking with client centered, practical execution. We design spaces of experience in the community, education and tourism sectors. We work with public clients, including municipalities and first nation's in the lower mainland and across the province.

We're looking for an intern architect or junior designer to join our growing team. You'll gain experience across the full breadth of an architectural project from the early concept design stages to construction administration. Our ideal candidate is eager to expand their knowledge and skills while working in a collaborative environment supporting each other's success.

Atmospheric Perspective Architecture is based in MakerLabs, a shared co-working environment for creative industries. We have access to full woodworking, metalworking, textile and digital fabrication studios. Our approach to architectural design is hands on, taking full advantage of these facilities with scale models, mock-ups and experiments.

Atmospheric Perspective operates on a 4-day discretionary work week where project schedules are collaboratively developed and Friday's are discretionary, based on task completion.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to project scheduling and workload management
• Contribute to construction drawings and work together with project leaders to co-ordinate consultants
• Contribute to project design packages with diagrams, drawings and renderings
• Liaise with material suppliers to support the project team with material explorations and samples
• Participate in project design workshops
• Contribute to physical model's and mock ups - built collaboratively as a team

Qualifications

• 0-5 years of experience in architecture and/or construction
• Professional degree in architecture
• Strong organizational, creative and presentation skills
