Accelerate your career with CMLS Financial. We are currently recruiting new graduates to join our 1 year, Full-time, Rotational Program with start dates commencing in September 2023. At the end of the rotation, you will be presented with a permanent full-time opportunity based on suitability and performance.

In this role, you’ll gain meaningful work experience, mentorship, and targeted training across a range of business areas within the company, in a diverse and collaborative work environment.

The CMLS Graduate Rotational Program is open to recent graduates from all college and university degree disciplines who can demonstrate the following:

• Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and high level of attention to detail.
• Commitment to learning and intellectual curiosity, with a passion for real estate.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong leadership skills, with a commitment to collaborative sharing of knowledge in a collegial environment.
• Working towards a professional designation (i.e. CFA) considered an asset but not required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities and timelines.
• Proven track record of both strong academic and extracurricular achievements.
• Ability to take initiative, ownership and drive tasks to completion.
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel and PowerPoint.
• Strong research, problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Recently completed (within 1 year) an Undergraduate Degree. Graduation date must be by August 31, 2023.

Graduates should expect to rotate through any 3 the following departments:

• Commercial Servicing – The Commercial Servicing department is a division of CMLS Financial and the leading provider of commercial lending servicing to our clients including some of Canada’s most prominent banks, investment managers and pension fund management companies. The department is responsible for a growing commercial mortgage portfolio over $24 billion and administrating end to end loan process.
• Commercial Origination – Our 50+ person Commercial Origination team is responsible for working directly with existing borrower clients and developing new borrower relationships to deploy over $6B in real estate financing each year. Their efforts connect debt capital seeking to get a return in the real estate market with real estate owners, operators and developers who need that capital to execute on their unique visions.
• Commercial Credit Risk (CMHC) – The Commercial Credit Risk team is responsible for the analysis and underwriting of credit applications, with summaries and recommendations regarding risk assessment for insured commercial mortgages.
• Construction Finance (RCFI) – The RCFI construction finance team is responsible for underwriting and managing multi-family residential rental construction loan opportunities for CMHC directly. Our primary services include lender/borrower liaison, underwriting, loan management, assistance with funding, and construction draw review and approval.
