Enbridge is seeking a confident Asset Management Advisor to assist in ensuring all settlement activities related to accrual, actualization, reconciliation, and payment occur efficiently and reliably..
You will be accountable for providing settlement and revenue assurance activities related to energy marketing and generation contracts through integrated systems, tools, and spreadsheets that link to the financial system of record.
This role requires coordination with departments including Supply, Risk, Treasury, Accounts Payable, Accounting and Finance to identify and resolve issues, assist with cash forecasting and variance analysis, and fulfill settlement obligations with ISOs and other counterparties.

What You Will Do

• Assist with monitoring receivables to ensure payments are received and are accurately allocated while following up with customers on outstanding balances
• Apply knowledge of compliance procedures, regulatory impacts and internal policies and escalate business or system risks to leadership as required
• Work with other non-accounting analysts to confirm invoices and payments are accurately reflected in the accounting system
• Assist accountants with variance analysis and explanation of financial result as the need arises
• Update and maintain a payment calendar to ensure that cash can be properly forecasted and handled
• Effectively understand and solve complex issues in a timely manner
• Understand electricity pool settlement & apply market knowledge to review statements and backup details
• Ensure efficient and timely investigation of discrepancies resulting from settlements, invoicing activities, and curtailment payments; accountable to find and coordinate solutions through communication with cross-functional units in Energy Marketing and external counterparties
• Work independently and as a team player, providing backup, support and take on additional responsibilities to contribute to the overall success of the team

Who You Are

• 2 - 5 years' experience in Energy industry, preferably in Renewable Power would be considered an asset, but not requirement
• Skills: Effective communication, data analytics, Excel proficiency, database querying, Power BI
• Continuous improvement, ready to learn new tools, skills and businesses, great teammate
• University Degree, college, or related power/gas industry experience, preferably in accounting, finance, computer (data) science, engineering, or risk fields
• Meticulous and organized, sense of ownership and time management, can-do attitude, problem solver
• Understanding of generating assets, commercial contracts, industry regulations
