For our client, insurance and bonds are a key element in the execution of successful construction projects. Join our Insurance and Bonding team to complete stimulating challenges and live this unique experience!
Reporting to the Senior Director – Insurance and Sureties, the incumbent of this position will play a key role by working closely with her on the analysis and execution strategy and obtaining the appropriate insurance and surety bonds at the tender stages. (calls for tenders) and contracts awarded for the projects assigned to it. The advisor will actively contribute to mitigating the risks that could impact the sustainability of our client as well as of its subsidiary Borea, a leader in green energy (wind and solar energy).
This opportunity will also give you the opportunity to progress in the organization and significant visibility with senior management and insurers / sureties dealing with our client!
Responsibilities
Develops and implements corporate insurance and bonding in accordance with corporate risk management goals, objectives and strategies, with a focus on projects assigned to the incumbent, at bidding and contract award stage. projects;
Read and analyze tender documents and contracts to determine if the insurance and bonding requirements requested by the work providers are adequate and exert influence if they are not; works collaboratively to identify solutions and determine the necessary insurance and bonds;
Analyzes project-specific insurance policies to ensure adequate coverage and identifies gaps in coverage where additional protection may be needed;
Advises senior management on risk management strategies and insurance related issues on projects assigned to the job holder;
Coordinates and influences internal stakeholders, including project managers, legal, finance and operations teams and brokers, to assess risk exposures and develop strategies;
Oversees the timely policy renewal process;
Read and analyze corporate insurance policies (site policies, wrap-up, E&O, marine, drones, automobile, equipment, etc.) to ensure that they meet the intent;
Read and analyze tender documents and contracts to determine the insurance to be required from subcontractors;
Provide professional advice and ongoing training as well as keep the company up to date on trends and best practices;
Recommends improvements to be made to the overall insurance program and specific project insurance/bonding;

Qualifications
Titulaire d'un baccalauréat en droit ou en administration des affaires, ou avoir une expérience équivalente ;
Posséder de 4 à 7 ans d’expérience dans un poste similaire ;
Expérience en gestion d’équipe (un atout) ;
Avoir des connaissances dans le domaine de la construction, des assurances et/ou du juridique (un atout) et en cautionnement (un atout) ;
Être dynamique et motivé ;
Posséder une parfaite maîtrise du français et de l’anglais, tant à l’oral qu’à l’écrit ;
Être agile et autonome ;
Posséder un excellent esprit d’analyse ;
Être rigoureux et minutieux ;
Posséder des connaissances approfondies des logiciels de la suite Microsoft Office ;
Être prêt à relever des défis intéressants !
