Administrative Assistant - Full Time $31-35Hr Monday-Friday Bonus Asap

This examination is being given to fill several vacancies in several County departments and to establish an eligible list which may be used to fill future County vacancies.

The Administrative Assistant position with San Joaquin County provides administrative analytical support by gathering and analyzing data for department management to plan, organize and oversee the administrative, management, personnel and staff development duties of a large department. Administrative analytical work may include developing department budgets, overseeing technology systems, financial analysis, personnel and other administrative analytical work.

Human Services Agency-The Human Services Agency (HSA) provides State and Federally mandated public assistance and a variety of social service programs for the citizens of San Joaquin County. Programs include California Work Opportunity and Responsibility to Kids (CalWORKS), Foster Care, CalFresh, General Assistance, Medi-Cal, Adoptions, Child Protective Services (CPS), Adult Protective Services (APS), In-Home Support Services (IHSS), Refugee Assistance, and the Mary Graham Children's Shelter. HSA's mission is to lead in the creation and delivery of services that improve the quality of live in the community.

Cooperative Extension- The UC California Cooperative Extension works in full partnership with the County to bridge the need between local issues and the power of UC research with specialists and county-based farm, home and youth advisors working as a team to bring practical, unbiased, science-based answers to problems across the county.

Public Works -The overall mission of Public Works is to plan, design, construct, operate and maintain the County infrastructure, which includes public roads, transportation systems, bridges, water, wastewater, channel maintenance and solid waste disposal systems of the County, in order to best serve the interests of the people. These systems are maintained to protect the health and welfare of the public and the County’s financial investments. Public Works also provides vehicle support for the County, including procurement support, heavy and light vehicle maintenance and repair, and daily rental services.

Registrar of Voters-The Registrar of Voters Office is a division of the County Administrator’s Office and is responsible for conducting fair, impartial, accurate, secure and transparent federal, state and local elections. Other functions of the Registrar of Voters Office include voter registration, election administration and campaign finance disclosures. San Joaquin County has approximately 385,000 active registered voters and currently maintains a staff of 30 full-time positions, with seasonal employees hired for each election.

Behavioral Health Services- Through individual contributions and the integrity of the organization, the San Joaquin County Behavioral Health Services strives to create a caring, positive, fiscally responsible and productive environment by partnering with the community to provide integrated, culturally and linguistically competent mental health and substance abuse services to meet the prevention, intervention, treatment and recovery needs of San Joaquin County residents.
