Job Title: Accounts Payable Associate

Duration: 6 Months (with possible extension)

Location: Mississauga, ON

Description:

• Assists the accounts payable team with tasks related to the efficient maintenance and processing of accounts payable transactions. Performs activities under moderate supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assists in month end closing.
• Prepares analysis of accounts.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Participates in projects related to Accounts Payable improvement.
• Performs other duties as assigned
• Answers basic and more complex inquiries by clarifying desired information; researching, locating and providing information.
• Prepares and processes accounts payable checks, wire transfers and payments.
• Interacts with distributor branch personnel to aid in resolution of customer concerns.
• Assists in month end closing.
• Answers basic vendor inquiries and reconciles vendor statements.
• Participates in projects related to Accounts Payable improvement.
• Prepares and processes accounts payable checks, wire transfers and payments
• Resolves problems by clarifying issues, researching and exploring answers and alternative solutions
• Handles a variety of customer inquiries as a result of collection attempts.
• Resolves invoice discrepancies.
• Processes invoice administration and set up for payment.
• Resolves basic invoice discrepancies.
• Match receiving paperwork, processes invoice administration and set up for payment.
• Prepares analysis of accounts.

Additional Manager notes

• This candidate will need to come in with minimum training. The ideal candidate should have 3-5 years of experience doing the same work. This position will be completing the full AP cycle and processing invoices. If the candidate has experience in Abbvie system that would be a bonus.

This is Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:00pm hybrid role. When the manager is ready, she will be requesting 45-minute zoom interviews.
