Accounting Specialist Jobs

Responsibilities

• Fostering a team approach to maintaining accurate and timely financial systems
• Maintaining and adhering to a documented system of accounting policies and procedures
• Together with the Director of Finance, performing reconciliations and preparing periodic financial reports for both internal and external stakeholders
• Together with the Director of Finance, assembling information for, and engaging with, external auditors for the preparation of periodic financial statements and filing of returns
• Together with Investor Relations, processing investment subscriptions, bond payments and dividend distributions to the members of our Co-op
• Accurately recording expenses and credit card transactions, and facilitating the gathering & organizing of supporting receipts and statements to ensure timely reporting
• Preparing and documenting transactions and journal entries including payables, receivables, invoicing, payroll, remittances, depreciation, accruals and cash management

Qualifications

• Minimum 2-3 years of related work experience
• College diploma or university degree, preferably in an accounting or business discipline

Compensation

• $50k – $60k Annual Salary, depending on experience and qualifications
