Powell Fence, a member of the Powell Construction and Engineering Group, strives to provide clients with any of their supply and installation needs. We specialize in the construction of chain-link fence, wood fence, farm/highway fence, high security fence, all types of gates, noise barrier and/or retaining walls, garbage enclosures, bollards and much more!

The Accounting Manager will be responsible to Manage the day-to-day operations of the accounting department, ensuring accurate and timely reporting of financial information.

Main Responsibilities

• Manage a relationship with the Job Cost Manager.
• Other Ad hoc duties as assigned.
• Assist with development and implementation of effective internal controls to assure safeguarding. of assets and reliability of financial statements and to detect fraud and errors.
• Manage intercompany transactions and reconciliation process.
• Management of the Accounting Team to ensure accuracy and timeliness of information being recorded.
• Prepare audit schedules and assist with timely response to audit inquiries for multiple companies.
• Responsible for internal control processes and make recommendations for improvement.
• Perform monthly variance analysis for multiple companies.
• Manage cost shares and cost reallocations between multiple companies and divisions.
• Ensure compliance with government remittances including HST, corporate tax installments and payroll remittances.

Additionally, key success criteria, means you will have:

• Project and job costing accounting experience ideal.
• CPA designation or working towards.
• 3+ years of supervisory or management experience.
• 5+ years of related accounting or finance experience.
• Experience working in a multi-company environment.
