We are proudly locally owned and operated! We are looking for an entry level Accounting Clerk, someone who has a keen attention to detail and is task oriented. You will be mentored by a senior Team Member, all training is provided onsite and growth opportunities are available and highly encouraged.

Responsibilities:


Administration


  • Balancing Dayend transactions and completing bank deposits
  • Assisting Manager as needed and working with service advisors to ensure accuracy and efficiency
  • Work together with the team to ensure the show room, office and other customer areas are maintained in a clean manner
  • Assisting customer service as needed which could include answering phones and greeting customers
  • Processing Fleet sales


Accounts Payable


  • Validating and inputting monthly expenses
  • Inputting Inventory Invoices
  • Distributing payables to team members for further review and rebilling prior to posting and following up
  • Balancing Accrued Payables
  • Data Entry
  • Balancing monthly AP statements and ensuring they are ready prior to chq runs
  • Tracking monthly expenses
  • Contact Suppliers for corrections and follow up to ensure credits are processed in a timely fashion
  • Updating Supplier Info and Verifying and entering Supplier EFT info


Accounts Receivables


  • Collection calls
  • Prepare and Issue customer statements within 48 hours of month end
  • Verifying and updating customer information
  • Inputting customer payments
  • Ensure our Company credit policy is being followed and used when credit is being extended


Qualifications


  • Ability to work independently and be self-motivated.
  • Strong computer skills and accounting /financial knowledge.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent problem solving skills.
  • Previous experience handling accounting within a retail environment.
  • Business accounting/bookkeeping diploma/certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Strong customer service skills.
