Lead OLG’s responsible gambling research portfolio, including business intelligence, knowledge mobilization and partnerships with external researchers and RG stakeholders

Manage procurement processes and external vendors to facilitate the development and delivery of responsible gambling initiatives

Reviews capital planning projects related to: servicing, storm water systems, road access, density requirements, noise, etc.

Public Service Commission Approved CO-OP (Co-operative Education)/Internship Programs

Formulate and participate in the drafting of Cabinet documents (such as Memoranda to Cabinet, Aide-Memoire, talking points, decks).

Research, analyse and interpret Cabinet documents, Parliamentary committee reports, foreign reporting and messages, and/or other documents.

Assist in the coordination and preparation of Executive foreign travel and visits.

Knowledge and experience with project management

Knowledge of Inuit culture and socio-economic conditions within Inuit Nunangat and for urban Inuit are highly desirable

Two or more years of experience working with federal, provincial, territorial, northern, urban government officials, and funding organizations

Knowledge of capacity-building practices and concepts

Knowledge of government systems with regards to funding, grants, and contributions

Experience with strategic and operational planning and evaluation

Effective time management and the ability to juggle multiple tasks

Knowledge and/or experience in key subject areas such as:

Knowledge of economic and public policy issues in Alberta and across Canada

Excellent research, writing and numeracy skills

Education, training, and workforce development

No previous professional work experience is required, although it would be an asset

Possess extensive knowledge of the pension industry and relevant legislation

Be knowledgeable about pension related metrics and be able to analyze key data points to compare pension plans

Strong quantitative and qualitative analysis skills.

University degree in a relevant field combined with broad professional experience.

Proven leadership skills, with ability to drive results while cultivating a culture of collaboration and teamwork

Strong written and verbal communication skills

•Superior management skills; ability to influence and engage direct and indirect reports and peers.
