Plant Operator Iii Jobs

Must have a minimum of 3 years experience with field/plant operating in the Oil & Gas sector

Previous experience in compression, boilers, refrigeration systems, recycle pumps, shipping pumps, Inlet separators, FKO, and production books

Current Standard First Aid Level 1, Energy Safety Canada H2S Alive and CSO certificates are a requirement

Must have strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work within a team environment

Must possess either a 3rd or 4th Class Power Engineering certificate

Assist with inventory management for the area, sourcing equipment for maintenance tasks in line with procurement procedures.

Input key field data into our production reporting system, adhering to operational requirements.

Maintain a good understanding of ABSA regulatory requirements.

Perform daily production-related activities for area and properties, identifying optimization techniques to increase production and reduce downtime.

Coordinate day-to-day operation and upkeep of facilities, roads, and pipelines, and modify daily route based on downtime, production, and risk factors.

Capture field costs accurately and participate in initiatives to reduce operating costs.

Performs complete preventative maintenance to equipment; modifies existing systems and equipment with approval from Plant Management

Thorough working knowledge of all equipment related to the production of steam, demineralized water, compressed air and electricity

Additional training in safety equipment, first aid/CPR certification, fire extinguisher training, WHIMIS, and MSDS is preferred

Completes shift-to-shift logging, storage of recording charts, log sheets, meter readings and computer printouts of plant conditions

Follows specific safety standards; recognizes and reacts to emergency situations using proper safety procedures

Assumes care and control of the plant in the event the HP Shift Supervisor is absent

High school diploma or GED required, along with two or more years related mechanical or electrical experience. Equivalencies may be considered.

Training/experience in power engineering, building maintenance or electrical/mechanical would be considered an asset.

Housekeeping of the two power plants is a major task that the incumbent will be required to complete.

Must be willing to work 12-hour shifts, 3 days on, 3 days off.

Valid Class 5 Driver’s License (or equivalent) required.

Ensure effective communication with operations, maintenance, and management staff.

Understands and performs safety responsibilities such as hazard identification, equipment lock-out, emergency response, and follows safe work procedures.

Ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulatory requirements.

3 or more years of operational experience.

Operational and maintenance experience in gas compression, dehydration, and NGL recovery is preferred.

Strong organizational and communication skills are required.

Minimum of two years experience in water/wastewater field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Knowledge of variable frequency drives, PLC’s, lab equipment. Extensive maintenance skills.

Runs quality control tests for lab certification.

High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

Knowledge of general plumbing and electrical, and various styles of pumps.

General knowledge of computer operations and software programs.

Minimum 3 years experience as a field/plant operator

Previous experience with Amine, compression, sour gas, dehy, and SCADA is an asset

Current Standard First Aid Level 1, Energy Safety Canada H2S Alive and CSO certificates are a requirement

Must have strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work within a team environment
