Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in community, preferably with program target population

Experience providing outreach with hard to reach population

Post-secondary education in a Social Services field

Applicants with lived or living experience in the sex trade work are encouraged to self-declare on their resume

Provide on-going case management support for up to 20 youth

Excellent report writing skills and previous statistical data collections experience.

Minimum two years’ experience working with young people experiencing homelessness and/or human trafficking.

Knowledge of community resources and systems relevant to youth homelessness and anti-human trafficking

Knowledge of adolescent developmental theory and specific issues related to street youth.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Management of the external environment; by supervisor’s request completing building checks and searches

Understanding of case management principles and practices and relentless engagement.

Completing intakes and supporting participants through orientation, their experiences in program and successful transition to independent living or other supportive housing

Facilitating at least two group life skill sessions monthly and providing occasional individual life skills with participants

Crisis intervention in situations of physical confrontation, medical and psychiatric emergencies, and for participants who have recently experienced trauma

Minimum two years’ experience in a shelter or transitional housing program.

·Strong marketing skills and fundraising experience would be an asset.

·Experience or understanding of entrepreneurship.

·Develop the market for home care services through client engagement and promotion of home care services.

·Develop and maintain partnerships with outside organizations to advance Co-operative Care Alliance’s mission and vision.

·Passionate about the homecare sector in Canada.

·Ability to communicate effectively in English both verbally and in written format.
