Yard Shunt Truck Driver Jobs

Shunt/Delivery Driver provides delivery services on a part-time and on-call basis as needed.

Delivers new and used trucks throughout Ontario.

Requires occasional evening and weekend work.

Will also provide parts delivery to other dealerships within the company.

Must follow all Highway Traffic Act regulations with full understanding of rules relating to transport driving.

Must complete log books and circle checks as required.

Connections and experience with some of the top companies in your area

Possess a valid commercial driver's license (CDL) or equivalent certification required for operating shunt trucks or similar vehicles.

Proven experience in safely operating shunt trucks, tractor-trailers, or similar heavy equipment in various environments.

Effective verbal and written communication skills for coordinating with team members and reporting any issues.

Performs any other duties as assigned by Management.

Maintains records in accordance with Sysco documentation requirements.

Strong teamwork, communication and customer service skills

Related experience in a transportation or maintenance environment is an asset

Experience moving heavy oversize loads is an asset.

Stable, year-round employment with overtime available

1 year Fleet Shunt truck, warehouse, or Yard experience preferred

Experience with Microsoft Office Suite eg: Word, Excel, Outlook

Strong communication and customer service skills.

Offload trailers and load vans with frames of groceries

Daily audit of duty bags

Gas vehicles up if required
