Tooling Engineering Manager Jobs

Quality Management System – Understand and apply GN Corporations Inc. Quality system requirements, including customer requirements and legal requirements:

Experience with Six Sigma process improvement projects (Six Sigma certification is an asset)

Ability to manage multiple projects with changing priorities while meeting scope and schedule requirements

5-10 years' experience in CNC machine tools manufacturing environment

Experience in Microsoft Office tools

Experience in CAD/CAM (SolidWorks, PDM, Esprit)

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in related field with minimum 3 years ‘sales and project management experience.

Provide support to all levels of management and personnel regarding Tooling

High school diploma/GED with 5 years of applicable experience and demonstrated success/knowledge

Work with the Regional Tooling Managers globally to support initiatives that require tools engineering

Build and manage a revamping capacity organization in Livorno able to refurbish test and develop new tools

Manage Field and Staff employees at Tool facility to execute the day by day tasks

Strong technical knowledge and understanding of automotive processes, components and supply chain management

Build, maintain and manage supplier relationships and ensure good communications

Strong negotiation, communication, presentation, interpersonal and influencing skills

Analytical, numerically astute with strong proven problem-solving abilities

Proven purchasing experience, preferably within an automotive and with capital and tooling

Maintain an approved supply base

1 – 3+ years of hands-on experience in product design and development.

Knowledge of Microsoft Office packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.), AutoCAD, SolidWorks and machining is required.

Creative thinker and good problem-solving skills are required.

Previous experience with flow simulation software is an asset.

Previous experience in the rubber industry is an asset.

Design new extrusion dies, IMM molds and splicing molds by using AutoCAD, Solid Works and flow simulation software.

Able to work with Tool management systems with minimal supervision (TDM, PPG, EDGE Pro, CSI and other applicable software)

Work closely with GN Management team to achieve “The Manufacturing Solution” and leading GN to industry 4.0.

Responsible for delivering, storage, inspection, and qualification of quality inspection gauges (Kardex Tower)

Responsible for qualification, inspection, and disposition of durable and consumable tooling upon return

Experience in CAD/CAM systems (SolidWorks/Esprit)

Experience with Microsoft Office tools

4-year college degree with a major in Mechanical, Industrial, Aerospace Engineering with a minimum of 2 years’ related experience.

Or other 2 or 4-year college degree with a minimum of 7 years’ related experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Exhibit the Vermeer characteristics of caring culture, demonstrating agility, customer focused and stewardship while modeling the associated behaviors.

Design and detail purchased items, machining, weld and assembly prints using SolidWorks software for performance, reliability, manufacturability, cost effectiveness and safety.

Support, supervise and assist Engineering Technicians with all aspects of building and testing prototypes.
