Minimum 2 years of experience in the aircraft field (asset)

Very experienced with hand tools/ power tools for drilling, countersinking, torquing, installing (fasteners, hi-lites).

Very experienced to read blueprints and interpret technical drawings (2D and 3D). Sub-assemblies, sheet metal assembly, mechanical assembly, etc.

Past experience within an aerospace or manufacturing environment.

4 to 6 years experience in Aircraft Assembly is required.

Sheet Metal Fabrication Course, Aerospace Structures Course or Aeronautical Technology Education or similar.

Pay range is depending on experience.

Our client located in Mississauga, Ontario is currently seeking a few Mechanical Assemblers.

Read schematics, blueprints and other technical diagrams.

• Operate and tend automated assembling equipment such as robotic and fixed automation equipment.

• Connect cables, tubes and wires to complete assemblies and installations.

• Mark, record and report defects.

Participate in training and certification programs to ensure job knowledge and skills set requirements are updated regularly

ESD and soldering training courses and/or work experience (IPC Certification is an asset)

Diploma in Engineering Technology, Technical Field or successful experience in a similar role

Previous experience in the construction and/or maintenance of municipal services infrastructure is an asset.

Inspects and documents on weather, site conditions, workmanship, labour, equipment and materials associated with construction and maintenance repairs of municipal infrastructure.

Ensures work is done in compliance with contract drawings, contract documents, and other applicable specifications, standards, statutes, regulations, and City By-Laws.

Ensures adequate control is maintained on the quantity and quality of labour and materials used.

Perform duties in accordance with current Quality Management System, Safety Management System, and Welbilt Code of Conduct requirements

Actively participate in safety training and demonstrate competency by effectively resolving safety issues or bringing them to the attention of management

Knowledge of range assembly and processes

Inspect product to conform to quality, engineering standards, and customer requirements

Basic math and reading comprehension skills

Load, unload, lift, and move materials and product utilizing lifting equipment when available.

Laboratory skills, with experience setting up, running and operating lab instruments preferred but not required.

Knowledge of lab equipment and procedures.

Cross-train and develop knowledge of multiple specialties within department/lab.

Applies job skills and lab policies and procedures to complete a variety of tasks.

Consult with senior peers on non-complex Parasitology tasks to learn through experience.

High school diploma or equivalent, prior/some lab experience preferred and/or 2, 3 or 4 year degree in Science-related field.

1 to 2 years relevant manufacturing experience

Aptitude to assemble complex equipment, install wiring, strong working knowledge of hand tools.

Mechanical and electrical parts assembly

Read and interpret mechanical drawings, work instructions and specifications.

Follow all applicable safety procedures and practices safe work habits.

Organized with attention to detail.

Keeps equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements, following manufacturer's instructions, troubleshooting malfunctions, and calling for repairs.

Use basic math skills in order to complete assigned tasks

Two (2) plus years experience in general assembly work

Experience using power, hand tools and tape measures

Mold assembly, tool assembly or maintenance experience required.

Sound blueprint reading skills required.

Mill or lathe machining experience an asset.

Assemble fixtures and integrate subassemblies into custom machines to blueprint specification.

Read and interpret complex engineering drawings, schematics, and machine-tool building assembly documentation.

A solid understanding of the functionality of welding and metal working equipment an asset.

Experience working with and presenting to upper management and senior executives;

Organizes, manages, prioritizes and is accountable for all project deliverables.

Manages the team members’ completion of project work and manages and resolves resource allocation conflicts.

Assesses and manages risks and issues in the context of the project and follows the appropriate escalation procedures, as required.

Conducts regular status meetings as required to effectively and efficiently manage the project work and remain aligned with the project schedule.

Operate within standard operating procedures (SOPs) and job safety guidelines.

Load and maintain raw material supply for the production line.

Communicate with operators within and across other shifts.

Previous reception / office management experience

Proficient knowledge of MS Office and other office software

Pay Rate: $20 - 22/hr
