Valid Industrial Railways Operation Certification

Completing daily inspection and testing of the locomotive brakes and safety devices

Completing daily reports, daily logs, and other reports deemed necessary

Experience operating with safety management systems

Knowledge of technology and computer systems with a willingness to use Excel and Outlook on a daily basis

Ability to obtain certification and medical clearances to perform the role

Experience working in a heavy construction, industrial, or rail environment

Experience as a qualified locomotive engineer and/or conductor is an asset

Ensures safe operation of the locomotive and train movements including conducting clear and concise job briefings

Experience operating with safety management systems
