Support Services Attendant Jobs

Demonstrated knowledge and experience maintaining medical records and filing systems, as well as processing personal health information.

A minimum of two years related experience.

Preferred experience in working with individuals experiencing a psychosocial crisis.

Successful completion of a Unit Clerk Course and/or a Medical Office Assistant Course required.

Working knowledge of computer software required.

Keyboarding skills (30-50 wpm) required

Grade 12 education or equivalent combination of education and experience

Previous experience in environmental services and patient transport, preferably in a hospital setting considered an asset

Good communication skills (reading, writing and verbal) as well as interpersonal, organizational and prioritizing skills

Knowledge of the OHHA, WHMIS and other relevant legislation

Equipment: Demonstrates applicable computer skills and knowledge of nursing-related care equipment utilization and management

Maintains supply, production, CQI and other records pertaining to the management of the Housekeeping Department.

Communication: Ability to intervene effectively to resolve conflict and manage stress and work pressure.

Assigns and coordinates the work for Housekeepers, and Laundry Aides. Monitors cleaning activities and evaluates Housekeepers’ and Laundry Aides performance.

Orders supplies and equipment, reports effectiveness of products and equipment.

Reports problems to Site Leader with suggestions to address the problem.

Establish and maintain a customer relationship management system, ensuring accurate and up-to-date customer data.

At least 2 years of experience in a similar role. Experience in customer relations, education and/or immigration industry is an asset.

Good image and temperament, strong organization and coordination skills, and excellent interpersonal communication skills. Adaptability to different customer needs and situations.

Collaborate with different departments to develop and implement effective customer service plans and ensure smooth project execution.

Proficiency in using Microsoft Office suite

Requires management and leadership skills and the ability to work with confidential employee, client, and Aramark information.

Menu management, balancing a budget and working within assigned operational costs / budget

P&L accountability and/or contract-managed service experience is desirable.

Red Seal chef or experience with oversight of a Food operation would be an asset

Basic Housekeeping Experience or full EVS experience as an asset

Requires a minimum of 5+year’s progressive experience managing operations with financial and operational responsibility for the sites / departments

Previous management/supervisory experience of 2-3 years preferred.

Physical environment – Physical Plant Services, Grounds and Horticulture, Waste Management

Post-Secondary Diploma or undergraduate degree in hospitality management, supply chain, procurement, building operation, business, or other related fields preferred.

Relevant and equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered, including on-job experience and trades certificates

Safety services – Building Code Requirements & Contingency Planning

Experience with Microsoft Office applications required

Current CPR And Basic First Aid Qualifications

Completion of a health, dental and psychosocial assessment;

A successful candidate would complete a background check. Internals must maintain their Enhanced Reliability status;

Willingness to work a non-conventional workweek (e.g. 56hrs per week/weekends);

Position requires walking, heavy lifting, carrying, pulling and/or pushing (i.e. 50 lbs/ 23 kg or more);
