Signal Systems Analyst Jobs

At least 3 years of railway signals maintenance experience in a high-density CTC environment

Extensive knowledge of S&C Standard Code of Practice and General Instructions

Thorough knowledge of the CTC Signal System and locking circuits/logic

Experience with test methodologies required when replacing vital components in a signal system

Experience carrying out signal commissioning tests as per approved test plans

Knowledgeable on when and how to use local controls at field locations

Knowledge and experience of FAT and SAT.

5 years relevant experience in the preparation, writing and execution of railway signal test documents (test sheets);

3 years relevant experience in shop testing and signal inspection;

Testing experience on the legacy signal system of the Metrolinx USRC is an asset;

Knowledge in the understanding and application of Canadian Railway Operating Rules (CROR).

10+ years of industry experience in the area of mixed-signal, high-speed CMOS circuit design

Experience with circuit simulators (HSPICE, Spectre, etc)

Strong written and oral communication skills

Lead, design and architect high-speed SERDES subsystems

Conduct Support Mixed-Signal feasibilities for SERDES or other high-speed systems

Support Mixed-Signal IP through the post-tapeout phase, including lab testing, customer bring-up and debug

Manage and track documents and files checked in and out of the plan database OpenText.

1-5 year(s) of previous railway experience preferred;

WHAT CPKC HAS TO OFFER:

Provide technical expertise in the area of signal design during the commissioning of projects;

Operate S&C CAD system to produce, review, and modify signal system designs;

Ø Power distribution design knowledge for rail deployment is an asset.

Ø Well developed writing skills to prepare effective reports, documents, etc. in a clear and concise format.

Ø 15+ years related work experience in the rail industry specifically in hardware signaling design

Previous professional experience working on complex data processing for the following bio-signals:

Experience of coding in Python, MATLAB

Knowledge of human or animal physiology, medical applications, and/or bioinstrumentation

Experience in developing procedures for human or animal biosignal recording in clinical environments

Experience in coding in C/C++ and/or Java

Experience in firmware and/or software development

Must have over five (5) years of experience in a computerized traffic signal control or similar environment;

Certification as an Engineering Technician or Technologist by O.A.C.E.T.T., or willing to work towards certification, will be considered an asset;

Must have proven oral and written communication skills;
