Strong organizational, prioritization and time management skills

Community college diploma in a related discipline of Security and Life Safety, Risk Management or Criminology (or equivalent business management qualification)

Ability to interact with members of corporate and tenant senior management, internally and externally

Moderate years’ experience in aviation insurance, possessing in depth knowledge and skills reflective of a fully competent underwriter.

Robust Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication, collaboration, presentation skills, and customer service focus is a must

Ability to manage and mentor junior underwriters on the Aviation team

Must have analytical, negotiation and sales/marketing skills. Demonstrate the ability to calculate and retain technical arithmetic including actuarially derived processes.

Post-Secondary Education OR equivalent industry education and experience

Manage and service existing multiline commercial insurance programs in addition to producing and underwriting new programs

Determine appropriate pricing based on financial and competitive analysis in line with actuarial requirements

Minimum 4 years of commercial underwriting experience in property and casualty

Excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

5+ years product management experience defining product strategy, prioritizing roadmaps and executing projects, ideally for large-scale content/data products

Conduct extensive research to understand customer needs, current market solutions and ways that we can offer a differentiated experience

Excellent written and verbal communication skills that can flex depending on the audience

Moderate SQL experience (while we leverage Looker, an ability to write queries can be an asset) (Preferred)
