Using insight to develop and maintain stakeholder contact lists to ensure we are listening to and engaging the right people.

Support the communications element of reputation management, including the delivery of crisis communications responses if required.

A suitable tertiary qualification in a communications discipline or other business-related field would be desired.

Exceptional written/oral communications skills, excellent media relations skills/PR savvy and a strong storytelling lens.

Identify, assess and deliver high quality, impactful external communications initiatives and campaigns, working with third parties as needed.

Support the executive team and segment directors on external communications opportunities including media interview and speaking opportunities.

Contribute to media and social media listening and external communications reporting and tracking external trends and insights and success metrics.

You will collaborate with our global offices and respond during off hours to business needs. Responsibilities may occur 24/7.

5+ years of relevant work experience

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to communicate effectively to executives

Strong analytical, organizational and problem solving skills

Strong interpersonal skills; specifically able to act as change agent, facilitator and collaborator

Strong understanding of accounting, legal and financial institutions’ regulatory disclosure requirements

Develop strong business partner relationships to foster greater understanding of key drivers and metrics to ensure disclosures effectively communicate our results

Requires experience in preparing financial statements and Management’s Discussion and Analysis.

Demonstrate strong knowledge and understanding of US GAAP principles, regulatory principles and OSC & SEC reporting requirements.

Requires knowledge of and experience with rate-regulated accounting principles.

Interface with actuaries to prepare actuarial valuation requirements for external reporting purposes.

Provide guidance and Finance support for Mergers & Acquisition due diligence activities.

Requires experience in the establishment and interpretation of regulatory and accounting policies and guidelines, and implementing new accounting and securities legislation.
