Senior Bridge Design Engineer Jobs in Ontario

Management of Complex and Standard bridge projects;

Assist with leadership and expertise re: client management.

Minimum 5 years of experience working in an engineering capacity on detailed design assignments for bridges

Superior technical understanding, design abilities, and current on bridge technologies;

Working knowledge of structural analysis software used in bridge design such as CSIBridge, MIDAS, etc;

A thorough knowledge of current design codes (CAN/CSA-S6) and standards is essential;

-Over 5 years of experience as Design Engineer or equivalent responsibility.

-Sketching skills (with demonstrated portfolio.)

-Strong written and verbal communication skills.

-Strong interpersonal skills, teamwork, and customer focus.

-Experience and familiarity with machining, fabrication, and industrial processes.

-Fall Protection and Working from Heights certification is an asset, but can be provided.

Minimum 2 years of experience in safety critical applications or regulated industry.

GE's BWRX-300 Small Modular Reactor (SMR) and/or

Gen-IV reactor technologies including Natrium and ARC sodium fast reactors (SFRs).

Demonstrates accountability for cost, schedule, quality, and technical accuracy of assigned tasks.

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering Mechanical Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics from an accredited university or college.

Relocation to Markham, ON is required.

5 -10 years of experience in the design of bridges and experience with the Canadian Highway Bridge Code or AASHTO;

Demonstrated experience in the area of bridge engineering with a recognized consulting engineering firm;

Good working knowledge of MS Office, industry standard bridge design and analysis software, and AutoCAD or MicroStation;

Experience in preliminary design and detailed design of new bridges and rehabilitation of existing bridge; steel and concrete structures;

Demonstrated ability in meeting project deliverables and requirements;

Excellent written and oral communication skills are a necessity.

Requirements Management experience utilize DOORs or similar tool.

Manages product and systems requirements, specifications, and flow down.

Manages interface between systems, components, and project/product management organizations.

Drive the identification of verification and validation (V&V) requirements at the plant, system, and component level.

Responsible for defining plant-level design requirements for the systems, components, subcontractors, and partner teams.

Minimum of 8 years of experience in an engineering capacity.

Knowledge in scripting and automation using SKILL language, Python, Perl and TCL is a plus

Good communication, teamwork skills and experience working with multi-site team desirable

Strong knowledge in Cadence IC design flow and tools

Strong knowledgeable in Verilog-A for analog behavioral modeling and simulation

Work with analog design lead and architects to design specific analog IP blocks

Simulate analog circuits across process corners and operating conditions

12+ years of experience in design and engineering of bridge projects.

Experience and understanding of conventional delivery and alternative delivery methodology.

CN Rail, CP Rail, and MTO experience are considered an asset

Experience in managing/mentoring or leading a group is considered an asset

Successful participation in, and completion of multi-disciplined bridge projects, rail bridges, and complex design

Providing technical leadership and mentorship to intermediate and junior staff
