Security Enforcement Dispatcher Jobs

Individuals enrolled or a graduate of an Emergency Telecommunications/911 communications program or equivalent experience.

Prior experience with multi-line phone systems (an asset).

Receive and dispatch emergency calls by telephone and radio.

Maintain electronic and automated records for all licensees and records management.

Enter information on versatile records management system for corporate compliance.

Provides customer service at public counter, via telephone and monitoring of Enforcement Clerk Inbox and Unassigned Complaints email inbox.

Working Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.

Exceptional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills with an emphasis on customer service.

Deal with daily driver renewals, issuance of new plates and completion of multi-step complicated vehicle transfers.

Minimum 5 years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience in law enforcement is required

Minimum 3 years supervisory/leadership experience with proven ability to direct evaluate and effectively manage staff

Excellent communication skills (verbal, written and presentation skills) is required, with previous experience in report writing is an asset

Conduct policy and program review studies to assess the impact, cost benefit and merits of existing and future initiatives

Acts as back up to Manager in his/her absence and performs other related duties as they may be assigned

Working knowledge of the City by-laws, the Provincial Offences Act and an understanding of the municipal process is preferred

• University Degree in Law, Public Administration or suitable equivalent, including combination of experience and education.

• Ontario Association of Property Standards Officers of Ontario and Municipal Law Enforcement Officer Association Membership/Certification.

• Excellent analytical, problem solving, interpersonal, communication and negotiation/mediation skills.

• Demonstrated knowledge of financial operating and capital budgets and business planning processes.

• Knowledge and proficiency in Windows environment using Microsoft Office Suite and internal databases.

Minimum of 1 year experience as a Security Guard

Minimum of 6 months experience as a control room operator/dispatcher

Valid Security Guard License and CPR
