Previous similar experience in long-term care an asset, with comprehensive knowledge of duties.

Provide education and training on RAI MDS, ensuring accuracy, efficient data collection processes, assessment completion and data utilization

Excellent communication (computer, verbal and written) and comprehension skills.

Developed creative problem solving skills to look at the “big picture”.

Maintains maintenance records as specified by Project Manager

At least 2 years of experience and ability to operate, troubleshoot and repair commercial lawn equipment

Thorough knowledge of all tools used for these applications: Hand tools, electric, pneumatic, etc.

Performs preventative maintenance according to preventative maintenance plan and manufacturer's specifications

Repairs gasoline and/or diesel engines used to power lawn mowers, string trimmers, backpack blowers and similar machines using appropriate tools

Replaces or repairs parts, such as rings and bearings, water pumps, thermostats, gears, solenoids, pistons, valves, crankshafts, etc.

Experience in, and aptitude for, ongoing skills training as well as the ability to implement learned skills and behaviors.

Training will be provided to support advanced skill sets and requirements.

Personal Support Worker (PSW) certification.

Developmental Support Worker (DSW) certification will be considered.

Preferred one (1) to two (2) years' experience as a PSW in Palliative/Pediatric or acute care (hospital)

Current CPR and First Aid certification.

CPR Certification/First Aid Training (required)

Measure vital signs (blood pressure, body temperature, heart rate, and respiration rate)

Facilitating investigational medicinal product (IMP) accountability

Assess and record changes in signs or symptoms, as reported by the patient

Provide injections to patients according to prescribed medication orders.

Perform wound care, including cleaning, dressing, and assessing healing progress.

Maintaining daily charting, monitoring nutritional intake, continuously assessing resident's care requirements

A current nursing license in Prince Edward Island or another Canadian province

Overseeing care team to provide exceptional care to residents

Must possess strong written and oral communication, critical thinking, care coordination, time management and customer focus skills;

Education and experience in gerontology, rehabilitation, community/complex/long term care an asset;

Beautiful Downtown/ waterfront working experience

To facilitate and provide resident/family education;

To respond to and manage significant changes in resident's condition and or medical emergencies; provide emergency first aid;

Experience working in a senior's environment and with unregulated care providers preferred;

Ability to lead training and education with Adult learners

Knowledge of: InterRAI suite of tools, MDS/RUG III patient classification systems.

Coordinates the completion of MDS assessment on all residents within established timelines.

Understands how the MDS assessment integrates with existing clinical tools and provides leadership in streamlining these processes.

Completion of course work or experience in adult education at the Community College or University level or relevant work experience.

Conducts educational assessments and evaluations

Conducts an annual education needs assessment.

Provide education on areas identified through the Quality Improvement Program as requiring further education.

Maintains individual employee educational records in the e-learning system and provides feedback at performance reviews.

Manages the e-learning platform for the home
