Proven work experience as a Research Assistant or similar role

Knowledge of research methods, in particular literature review methods

Liaise with the health librarian and project team to develop the search strategy

Participate in the identification and selection of publications, data extraction and data synthesis

Write reports to summarize data and the implications of the results

Respond to emails relating to the project

Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills

Attention to detail coupled with analytical skills

Supports the development and execution of the CX, BX, and MR research for various internal client groups across Canada Life

Works with team members to execute assigned projects and tasks

Designs and programs questionnaires into survey platform to collect relevant data

Analyses data using different tools

Possess excellent research and writing skills

A writing sample, preferably a legal research memo from law school or your previous experience, 7-10 pages maximum

Conducting legal, policy and general research

Preparing legal memoranda, primarily in the areas of environmental and administrative law

Responding to inquiries from members of the public about environmental law questions and issues

Start and end date and weekly hour requirement

$22-25 per hour commensurate with experience.

(student) Research & Copywriting Intern

The student intern will work alongside and report directly to the Senior Strategist and Strategy Director.

- Assist in conducting research according to an established research plan

- Audience research and developing personas and user journeys

Experience with version control software (e.g., Git, Mercurial, or SVN ) and open-source documentation systems (e.g., Doxygen).

Summer 2023: May 8, 2023 – August 19, 2023

Provide regular progress reports to the Computing Science faculty;

Assist faculty in maintaining new and existing applications to ensure compatibility with College equipment; and

Assist faculty in preparing research funding proposals.

Successful completion of CMPT -2167 with a letter grade of “B+” or better; and

Develop a knowledge management database of legal and regulatory opinions and materials.

You have excellent written and spoken communication skills and experience dealing with technical information.

Strong legal research skills and computer literacy.

Previous related work and volunteer experience is an asset.
