• 3+ years’ experience in a similar or related role where applicable project management skills are obtained.

10 years of experience in product management, project management, factory relations and procurement.

5 years of vendor management experience.

Knowledge and experience in negotiation.

Train and develop a successful team by identifying any skill gaps within the department.

Evidence of experience in project management - successfully managing research, projects including managing budgets and staff

Providing direct line management to roles including leading the supervision and appraisal process for those team members managed

Extensive knowledge and experience of research and evaluation work that focuses on improving the lives of children, young people and families

Experience of working strategically, collaboratively and in partnership with a range of agencies and stakeholders.

Senior Research & Development Manager

Responding effectively to opportunities for income generation and developing high quality research and evaluation bids that adhere to required specifications

Maintains technical and industry knowledge

Approves operational budget and manpower requirements

Develops R&D strategic direction including new competitive product line strategies in collaboration with other Directors, Senior Engineering Advisor and Vice-President

Sets objectives for strategic plan

Monitors accomplishment of strategic plan and budget

Takes decisions on unforeseen circumstances

Excellent computer skills (MS Word, Outlook, Excel) formulation software programs and CRM experience

Strong follow-up, problem solving and decision-making skills

Post-Secondary education in Food Science an asset
