What You Bring To The Table

Professional Project Management Certification is preferred

Excellent organizational, analytical reasoning, problem-solving, and conflict management skills

Maintain in-depth knowledge of funder requirements to ensure all project activities are compliant

Manage and contribute to the successful execution of a portfolio of applied research projects across the college

Provide updates to Principle Investigators on spending, in-kind, and cash requirements

Manage and support a team of Research Grant Assistants in completing their activities and resolving challenges

An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Attends meetings with the faculty-researcher and stakeholders

Performs routine data gathering activities as directed by supervisor or other research team members.

Gathers literature or other resources as directed by supervisor

Provides assistance to the research team, for example, records notes, describes observations, supplies reminders.

Performs other related project duties as assigned.

Excellent knowledge of budget management and administration in an academic setting.

Excellent leadership, organizational, quantitative, analytical, communication, interpersonal, time management, and problem-solving skills.

Excellent knowledge of University research and governmental funding agency research policies, rules, regulations, and best practices.

Excellent knowledge in the use of financial and business systems and bookkeeping controls, policies, and procedures.

Ability to interact productively and professionally with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.

Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team setting.

Excellent organization and time management skills required

At minimum, 5 years practical and related experience

Biomedical science background, experience in healthcare sector preferred

Demonstrated leadership and supervisory skills required

Experience with developing and working with budgets an asset

Knowledge of applicable legislative, UHN and/or departmental policies
